Co-Founding member of Nirvana was born on Feb.20, 1967, suppossibly he took his own life on April 5 1994 with a shot gun shot to the head, and was stated to be self-inflicted, after jumping a wall in a rehabilitation clinic in California and flying back to Seattle. To this day there have been many sceptics about his death (including myself). His body was found in the Greenhouse above his garage at his estate at 171 Lake Washington Blvd on April 8th by an electrition who was installing a new security system. Layne Staley (1967-2002)
Vocals
Alice In Chains
Born in Kirkland, Washington on August 22, 1967, Staley formed Alice In Chains while still in highschool in the mid '80's. Alice In Chains claimed a spot as the darkest and hardest band of the early '90's grunge movement. Layne died from a mixture of heroin and cocaine, an autopsy and toxicology report revealed. Laboratory results determined the singer died April 5, according to a spokesperson for the King County medical examiner's office, the same day as fellow grunge pioneer, Kurt Cobain "committed suicide" in 1994. Staley was found dead 2 weeks later, surrounded by intravenous drug paraphernalia in his Seattle apartment
